Trade Policy
We do not buy books for cash.
We do allow books for Trade Credit. You get 25% of the selling price in Trade Credit. You may use Trade Credit for up to half of what you buy, excluding New, New Releases, and Collectible. Hardcovers trade for Hardcovers, Paperbacks trade for Paperbacks. We ask that you do not bring more than 20 books at a time while you are staying and shopping in the store. If dropping off books for credit (not staying and shopping), you may bring 10 books per week.
Effective 7/1/2024: You must bring books in a non-returnable container (plastic bag, box, etc) with your name and phone number included. We can not guarantee credit will be available on the same day you bring the books in.
Book Donations: We have limited space, so please call ahead of time to see if it’s okay to bring in donations. Current exceptions (we need these): School Reading, Dog Man, Wings of Fire, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Captain Underpants, Harry Potter, Stephen King, James Patterson’s Women’s Murder Club.
Classics
We have new and used Classics and School Reading. We cannot always get used copies in stock, but we try to order what is needed and give you a discount, if possible!
New Releases
We have books released within the last 6 months displayed near the front. These books are half off the cover price. Sorry, no Trade Credit can be used to purchase these!
New & Unusual
When we find something cool or unusual, we can’t pass it up any more than you can! Interactive Harry Potter books, Pride & Prejudice with hand written letters, tiny books (so fun!)
Old and Cool
We have lots of vintage, and even some antique books in the store. Some are classics, some are lesser known.
In Demand
As we can afford it, we stock new popular books or series that don’t come in used very often, such as Dog Man, Wings of Fire, The Wingfeather Saga, Fourth Wing Series, and Colleen Hoover
Handcrafted Specialty Items
Local papercraft artist Debbie Dutton stocks our shop with her handcrafted Journals, Tiny Books, Fairy Houses (made from old books), Prayer Journals, Scripture Cards, Origami Bookmarks, Christmas Gift Tags, etc. She also teaches classes at the store occasionally!!
